Short Code & WIdgetizing pages

    I am using the Posts in Sidebar in my new site (in the testing mode now). I’ll greatly appreciate if you can help on a couple of points:

    1). I have inserted the short code, [pissc number=100 cat=”Front” the_more=”  … Read more →”], on my ‘Home’ page to pull some posts (cat=Front).

    Is it possible to insert the same short code on other PAGES to pull some other specific post (just by changing the “cat” to some other name)?

    2). Insertion of this short code doesn’t ‘widgetize’ the page – the page doesn’t show under the ‘widgets area’ – is there a way to to widgetize the pages using PIS short codes?

    Yes, sure! You can use the shortcode in any page.

    Using a shortcode in a page doesn’t mean that the page will appear in the widgets area. It simply means that you can display a list of posts in a page. For example, let’s say that you have a page “Leonardo Da Vinci” and you want to show all your posts published under the tag “Leonardo Da Vinci”: Posts in Sidebar lets you do that using a shortcode.

    Hello Aldo,
    Thank you very much for a fast response. It is a very useful and well designed plugin, and, on top of it, a great support from you!

    I noticed many updates since I had installed it on my other website. On that one, I was using another plugin to ‘Widgetize” the pages – but, it seems that the plugin is abandoned and being updated.[wigdetization allows to insert any widget anywhere in the page.]

    I will be up posting a new review of this plugin soon.
