Support » Plugin: WordPress Simple PayPal Shopping Cart » Shopping Cart Plugin Throwing Errors after latest WordPress Update

  • Hello Support,

I launched a site with this plugin recently and everything seemed to be working fine until the latest WordPress update. Now I am getting occasional 503 errors on the site, which makes me VERY nervous because I have ads running to the site and don’t want people to be un-able to check out. My Debug says the following:

[16-Dec-2019 13:38:56 UTC] PHP Notice: Undefined variable: _SESSION in /var/www/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-simple-paypal-shopping-cart/wp_shopping_cart.php on line 167

I sent this information to my programmer and he said that he couldn’t fix it because the problem is located in the core files for the plugin…especially since this is just an intermittent problem.

Is there some session variable information I can send to my programmer from your team that I can input to fix this problem?

It looks like someone else ran into this issue but I would like to avoid having to use WooCommerce if possible (which was his fix).

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]
