Shopping cart function works well -- payments not so well (2 posts)

One gets what they pay for. If you need a shopping cart that will only work with Paypal and you're technical enough to fiddle with it, then this plugin might be for you. If you need to use any other payment method/gateway, look elsewhere. I've spent untold hours trying to get this thing to work properly with authorize.net (much searching on forums, almost-non-existent documentation, etc.) and I've finally just given up. I simply have to find another solution that works for me and my client with authorize.net and Paypal in a consistent manner. The main problem I'm having right now with authorize.net is that all orders are either in failed status or they stay stuck in processing status, even though I'm seeing a response from authorize.net. Paypal orders go into a failed status. I've followed every suggestion I can find online to deal with this and I'm just done.

Documentation is improving, http://quirm.net/wiki/eshop/ is getting more updates than it used. I do encourage people to test it for themselves though - you do learn more that way.

I dropped official support for authorize.net a while ago - but some users are still using it successfully.

http://quirm.net/wiki/eshop/setting-up-merchant-gateways/paypal/ has specific help for Paypal, and I'll be adding more info to failed order emails in the next release. Usually it is a mismatch of data between settings in eShop and those at your paypal account.

Thank you for the review, all are welcomed, good and bad.
