    Hi

I am experiencing a well documented issue. I found many answers for it, but i still have a question nobody asked before.

    First, this is the problem:

I create all the default woocommerce pages, including the SHOP page.
Normally if i use any theme, for example Storefront, the title of my shop page is “Shop”. If i change the shop title to “new shop”, then i see NEW SHOP title on the frontend, and nothing else.

When i activate OceanWP the shop page title changes to:
    RECENT POSTS (title)
This is where you can add new products to your store. (subheading)

I found that you offer a snippet to hide the subheading in the shop page.
I tried it, and it worked. However, you have another snippet to change the shop page title, but it didn’t work. I still see the “Recent Posts” title.

Also, i tried to change the title of the page, using the options of your theme inside the edit page, with no luck. The shop title didn’t change.

I also use this plugin https://es.wordpress.org/plugins/on-sale-page-for-woocommerce/ to show the sale products on an specific page. In the back, the name of the page is called SALE. But using your theme, it shows “PRODUCTS” at the frontend.

So, I tried everything. Also i searched a lot on google, and in wordpress forums, just to realize a lot of people have or had this issue since the last 1 or 2 years.

This is very strange and uncommon guys. I use a lot of themes, but this is the first time something like this happens.

For what I see, your solutions are using snippets or hiding the titles and subtitles, but it seems you don’t solve the problem from the root. Also in one of your answers you make woocommerce responsible of this problem, because it “is something of woocommerce”.

I was thinking of translating the words “recent posts” to “shop” as an alternative solution, and I also thought of using a pseudo:before with Shop as content, but I couldn’t target the shop page with css. Then i asked myself.. why do i have to deal with this? Why such a popular and modern theme, cannot behave as any other theme out there?

So finally, this is my question: Why is this happening in OceanWP? How can i do to use whatever name i want in my shop page without using snippets, translating languages, using css or hiding titles?

    Thanks!!!

  • Hello,

You can change the title and subheading without adding any code. Edit a page > oceanwp settings metabox > title tab and set a name as per your need.
For the issue you have mentioned, we will surely check it on our end.

    Thank you

    Amit!

    Thank you for answering.

But the main problem is that it doesn’t work with the shop page!
And although the SALE page plugin is an external plugin, it also doesn’t work with it.

Both titles are ok in any other theme but not with OceanWP.

Ok, you answered many other questions in the forum, but it seems you don’t care about this issue or me (the user). You answered the same generic answer again, but in fact you don’t explain WHY this happens ONLY with your theme.

Thanks for no giving a solution to a simple problem.
