    Hey, Im building a webshop with WooCommerce and my client wants to run a private beta at first. So im Locking down the website with WP-Members, but now i am (as Administrator) the only one who can activate users.

    What i want is that the Shop mananger (my client) can allow/activate users but the plugin is set to only allow only Admins to do this.

    Can i change the plugins settings to allow Shop manager to take care of the users?

    The plugin allows anyone with edit_users permissions assigned to their role to activate users. In WP by default, yes, that is only the administrator. But if you use something like User Role Editor, you can assign capabilities to other roles.

    Error massage going to /wp-admin/users.php?page=wpmem-users "You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page."

    As shopmanager i cant go to the page where i approve users.

    As long as you have "list users" and "edit_users" that will work.

    I'm not sure what version of the plugin you are using, but if you are using the most current version (which you should be), users.php?page=wpmem-users is deprecated. All of the functions from that page are now integrated into users.php.

    Not sure where to go from there. If the user has edit_user permissions, WP loads the users menu and pages. The plugin loads the user management functions if the user has edit_user permissions.

    I tested it out over here with User Role Editor, giving the shop manager permissions for list users and edit users and that works as expected.

    Does the shop manager user have access to user list if you have WP-Members deactivated (with the same roles applied to the User Role Editor)?

    Looks like User role editor doesn't work on Multisite because i tested on several installations and different installation with no luck

    While some users do use WP-Members in a multisite installation, it is not officially supported for the plugin. Whether it will work for you depends on how it is installed and intended to be used.

    In your case, it's probably not going to work out since you would need to be able to modify the role capabilities. In mulitsite, editing users is only available to super admin.

    @mvaneijgen, @cbutlerjr

    Not sure if this is still relevant, but I was having the same issue and just fixed it with User Role Editor. Even though I had granted edit_users to the "Shop Manager" on the specific site in question, the role was not able to change users. The fix ended up being going to the Multisite Network Admin and selecting Settings > User Role Editor > Multisite and checking the box that says "Allow non super administrators to create, edit, and delete users". Once this was done users with the Shop Manager role could edit users.
