Shop and Category pages don’t show products

    Hi,

    My Shop and category pages don’t show products on this development site. But there are 2 products. For example please check this. The Related Products section on the single product page shows the product grid.

    I have tried everything like – switched to default theme, disabling plugins, reinstalled WooCommerce, WooCommerce Clear Tools, saved Permalinks, etc. But nothing worked for me.

    I am not sure what’s going wrong and how to fix this.

    Please go to one of the product’s editing pages in admin, then the “Publish” metabox, then the “Catalog visibility” setting. There are 4 options. Is “Search results only” selected? If so, that would explain what’s happening. Change the selected option to “Shop and search results”, then republish the product.

    Thanks for reaching out!

    I understand that the Shop and Category pages are not displaying products on your site even after switching to the default Storefront theme and only WooCommerce plugin is active, correct?

    Can you please provide the fatal error logs (if any) under WooCommerce > Status > Logs?

    Yes, that’s right. It doesn’t work even with only WooCommerce and Storefront active. I cloned the site to my localhost and it works fine. It maybe a server issue but not sure what to ask the hosting provider.

    Hmmm. I understand that you are not experiencing the error on the staging site.

    This could be due to caching. Can you please have your host purge the site cache and see if this resolves the issue?

    Yes, there is one falat error log which I am pasting below:

    The fatal error log points to the Elementor: by Elementor.com – 3.9.2 . Can you please try to disable this plugin and see if this works?

    I raised a ticket to my hosting provider but haven’t heard from them yet.

    Actually, I tried the site with only WooCommerce plugin activated. That means no Elementor plugin was activated at that moment. So I feel that the fatal error is not affecting my concerned problem.

    Hello,

    I’m sorry to hear about this.

    Please navigate to: WP-Admin> WooCommerce > Settings > Products tab
    and make sure the Shop page is already selected in the shop page drop down.

    After that, you can reset the permalinks by going to WP-Admin> Settings > permalinks, be sure to click Save twice.

    Then please check the shop page to see if it is showing the products.

    Does that make a difference? Please let us know.

    I have made all these basic changes but none of them work for me. So I contacted the plugin support.

    I didn’t hear back from the hosting provider (Network Solutions) and I can’t wait for them as the site needs to be finished soon. So I moved the same site to Bluehost and everything works fine now.

    So I am almost sure now that the problem was with the hosting server. But I couldn’t find what it was. Maybe if anyone finds it then it will be helpful for others in the future.

    WooCommerce is a great plugin and it is one of the best eCommerce solutions. There is no doubt about it. I only use it to develop an eCommerce website. I really appreciate all the support answers. Everyone was very keen to help. But I didn’t get the exact cause and solution to my problem. I had the option to change the hosting this time. But I may not get a chance to do that for other clients. In that case it will be very ptoblematic. So I would prefer not to review this time. But I promise, I will do it in the future.
