I’m setting up a relatively small shop; we’re using Stripe for payments.

My client’s requirements for setting up shipping are simple, or they should be:

    1. He has a single shipping zone: Only in the continental US–Hawaii and Alaska, or any other countries are excluded.

    2. He has exactly two shipping methods: A flat rate of $8.15 for any order up to $84.99, and free shipping for order of $85 or more.

It should be possible to do this without buying a premium plugin, but here’s where I get stuck:

    • It won’t display either of the shipping methods unless you put in an address. But the two shipping methods the client wants hinge on the cost of the order. If you try to ship anywhere outside the continental US it says sorry, we don’t ship there.

    • If you enter an address and the order is less than $85, it shows the flat rate of $8.15.

    • If you’ve entered an address and the order is over $85, it shows both shipping methods (flat rate $87.15 and free shipping) with radio buttons.

Since it’s showing free shipping when it’s more than $85, I can make at least the free shipping method pay attention to the order amount.

And since it shows the flat rate and ONLY the flat rate when the order is less than $85, it should be able to show free shipping and ONLY free shipping when the order is above $85.

If I need to purchase a premium plugin for this I will, but I can’t believe the free version can’t handle this.

Gratitude in advance for any help!
