Shifting a xyz.wp.com blog to xyz.com advice for a newbie

  • Hi I am moving my blog tgnrules.worrdpress.com to thephilip.org and i have the following doubte

    1 Should i transfer the archives to my new server of let this blog be and start afresh

    2 if i transfer will it cause search engine trouble

    3 If I dont transfer will both the blogs having the same name cause searchengine troubel

  • I say transfer your archives and scuttle the old blog. That way, the old blog will eventually get knocked out of the search engines because it doesn’t exist anymore, and you have your archives on the new blog so you’re not losing anything.
