Immediately after publishing a post from the Edit page, Yoast displays buttons in the sidebar which allow sharing to Facebook or Twitter. However, after moving away from the page and then returning back to the Edit screen these buttons appear unavailable. How can I access them again other than by putting the post into draft and then re-publishing?

    Hello @upstartdm

Thanks for using the Yoast SEO plugin. The Facebook and Twitter sharing icons are available under the pre-publish check as part of the native WordPress publishing workflow.

As such, once a post has been published, you can’t get the pre-publish check back or the Yoast SEO Facebook & Twitter sharing icons.

Thanks for the reply. It’s a shame we can’t access this functionality again after publishing (either via YOAST or, presumably, WordPress) – for some reason it’s often the only way we can get Twitter to pull in our images, even though the metadata looks OK at first glance.

    Hello @upstartdm

You could check out third-party plugins in the WordPress repository that allows you to integrate social sharing icons on your website.
