Does Social Connect currently support sharing the Twitter and Facebook settings with all sites in a WordPress network (the new multi-user)?

I have been able to get the plugin working across all sites with the services that don’t require setup, i.e. Google, Yahoo, WordPress (strangely, OpenID doesn’t show up anywhere). To get Facebook and Twitter working, I have to set up these individually for each site, which I’m not interested in as I’d rather have the main site do the authentication.

If it’s helpful, one plugin that does allow this sharing between all sites in the network also tackles the originating URL issue, though this plugin is only aimed at Facebook and I’d really like to at least have Google and Yahoo! support, not to mention Twitter. Here’s that Facebook plugin:

    Simple Facebook Connect

Note on the changelog for version 0.21 that the use of parameters in wp-config.php is the method used to fill in (and hide the ability to edit) the fields in question.

Is there already a method similar to this I can use for the Facebook and Twitter settings or is there any other current solution that would work with this? I’m concerned not only with existing sites but also new ones that share these settings.

    Thanks!

    No.

Generic OpenID was removed for security reasons.

No there is currently no method to share settings. I think the approach Simple Facebook Connect uses is very clever and I can see how it would be very useful, but I’ve no plans to add it to the plugin. If you know a good developer who can do it for you, they can Fork the plugin on GitHub and I’ll happily accept a patch with the changes.
