So I am tweaking WooCommerce for a different kind of use. Our in-stock inventory changes constantly. We are using WC to show our sales reps everything we have in stock. Everything is a digital download linked to a JPG. The concept is that a rep can browse what we have, add a bunch of things to the cart and checkout as a guest. Enter your customer’s email address and voila! Your customer gets an email with links to pics of the 8 different items you are proposing for his project.
So 2 “perfect world” questions…
1. Can someone point me in the right direction of where to customize the content of the “Order Complete/Download Links” email? Obviously I’d like it to say something more like “Hey, thought you might be interested in the following… “
2. How difficult would it be to create an email upon order that has images on the left and descriptions to the side, just like the shopping cart, but probably a bigger version of the image? In a perfect world, all we want sent out is an email that says “you might like the following…” followed by the contents of the shopping cart laid out nicely. Big project, or something that just needs a little layout work?
