I beginning to play around localised my website. It needs to have content local to particular countries (not just language). I’ve not using the WP multisite, due to limitations on host folder primary sites need to reside in and breaking of URL’s if going down subdomain route. Thus I’m looking at a handful of isolated WP installs, each with vastly different content.
However I will have a fair few pages/posts that I’d like to share, rather than duplicate. Both from a maintenance and simplicity point of view. Initially, I can just add links to the primary site directly. However this draws users away from their local site, and the menu etc will be full of links to the primary site.
So ideally, what I’m looking for is a method to stick common content on the primary site, then have local sites present it, but keep users on the local sites.
Any ideas? Does that even make sense?!
