Support » Plugin: Social Media Share Buttons & Social Sharing Icons » 'Share'-Popup disappears, Unable to share (G and Facebook)

I’ve tried many social share plugins and I’ve fallen in love with this one. I would love to keep using it but unfortunately it does not work.

I implemented it on 2 of my websites and the same problem occurs:

Click on Facebook or G+ icon -> Popup appears -> Share / Like / Visit us
-> click on share -> popup appears for users to share
-> move your mouse -> popup disappears

Unable to share at all, therefore the plugin is completely useless.
It would be perfectly fine if a new window would open, but this iframe or what it is, it does not work. And I cant believe nobody has pointed out that problem yet.

Here are the 2 websites, check the social icons in the sidebar and try sharing via g+ or facebook:

    http://www.my-unpopular-opinion.com

Please help resolve that issue or I’ll sadly have to replace the plugin.

I would easily give you a 5 star rating if you could resolve this.

Also please check out my contact page: http://proven-onlineincome.com/contact-me/ the items don’t appear, only 1 does. I used the shortcode: [DISPLAY_ULTIMATE_SOCIAL_ICONS].
Is that my theme having problems?

Btw: You’ll notice I use a different social share plugin at top and bottom of posts, cause of the icons they provide, you might want to add that one to your styles, it’s really a nice one.

After submitting my topics i got redirected to an empty page. I assumed it was a problem with your forum, and retyped the whole thing.

    Thanks Joe for reporting this.

Yes, if sharing wasn’t possible with this plugin somebody would have pointed it out for sure 😉 I just tried to share, worked fine, on both blogs you state, both facebook and g+, for example http://screencast.com/t/Zby0wZiN. Could you please try again and make a screencast? What browser are you using?

Regarding the second point, yes it looks like there is an issue on your theme. However, you seem to want to place the icons after the post, right? We’re currently working on an update which will allow this, so please try with the new plugin (should be live later this week/next week).

Thanks john for taking the time.

You are right, the problem is only with Google+, not with facebook.
Facebook share opens a new window, which works fine.
G+ opens a iframe or whatever it is, which keeps disappearing.

Tried it on newest firefox and google chrome and on different computers.

I’ll wait for the new version and hopefully it will work then.

    regards, joe

Yes, now I can also see the issue with g+ sharing. Let me investigate.

Ok, so we found the bug, and fixed it in the latest version. Before we upload it on WordPress, could I please ask you to install it on your blogs first? Reason: We made a few other changes in the plugin (to make it even better – we hope) and before we release it to everyone it would be very nice of you to try it out on your site first. We tested it extensively, so everything should be fine. And it has the g+ issue fixed.

Could you please email me at support at ultimatelysocial dot com so that I can send it to you? Thank you!

As discussed by email (new plugin). If issues persist please let me know. Rgds, John
