I’ve been having the same issue and have been emailing the plugin author since last week.
Share counts are inaccurate and fluctuate up and down. I use WP Fastest cache and purging cache or deactivating all plugins has not resolved the issue. I am waiting to hear from the plugin support who has not replied to my last 3 emails. I will follow your post and will create my own support thread hoping to find a solution.
Have you saved the Facebook App Id and Secret in the “Standard Interface” and/or “Floating Interface” section(s)? If you have already saved these and still face the issue, try saving a greater share count cache refresh time interval in the “Miscellaneous” section at plugin options page, as Facebook shares might not be working because of the graph API request limit imposed by Facebook. A greater share count cache refresh time interval would help make these requests less frequent. Let me know if you still face the issue.
Hi, I have the exact same issues that the OP … sharing count just disappeared from display for the post I’ve posted in the last days … It works okay for older posts. There is no share count or any other number next to plugin.
I’ve tried all the troubleshooting steps mentioned here and on the plugin site with no success.
