Share buttons break validation (2 posts)

Enabling the Jetpack share buttons (is the only thing that) breaks HTML5 validation anywhere on my site, because the script elements specify a "charset" attribute even though they're not referencing external source. Is there a reason for this? Can it be removed, so I can use the share buttons and still remain valid?

(No arguments about the pointlessness of validation, please - this is the *only* invalid thing on my site, and yes, I would like to remain valid.)

    Thanks!

...Err, Jetpack's comment module breaks validation too, by using the obsolete allowtransparency attribute rather than CSS (whether or not the "transparent" option is enabled...)
