    Hi Dears,
    I am a new user.
I have created a first test of a downloadable file, “saved the draft” and made a preview. Seams nice the form.
The question is, shall I “publish” the page? Does it mean that a new page/post is published? If I want later to delete this page/post (in the case is only a test) do I have the same constraints of deleting a page or post, I mean, shall I have to redirect?
Will you please give me an orientation on this basic issue?
    Many thanks and warm regards,
    Pedro

    Hi Pedro,

If you click on publish, a new page or post is not created, but a custom post type that is not publicly queryable. Redirecting is therefore not necessary after you have removed the download form.

If you have any more questions, feel free to ask.

    Hi Dears,
    Thanks for the help.
I already tried, placed the shortcode in one of my posts and I tested sending a email to myself. The mail did not arrived…
I checked and discovered I did try to send before, but without the form beeing “published”, just in the “dratf/preview” mode. I deleted the subscribers log, try again and it seams ok.
    Mail received in my adress.
The message is in english: “Thank you for subscribing.
You can find your Free Download here”
Can I change this? Can you give me a tip?
    Many thanks and warm regards,
    Pedro

    Hi Pedro,

    You are welcome.

Nice that you got it working. You can adjust the email message and other messages on the following page: admin-menu -> downloads -> messages

    Hi Dears,
It is solved and working properly.
    Many thanks for the help.
I would sugest, if possible and to help future newcomers, to state somewhere:
    1. Publish button does not publish a Post/page but a form, as you already said “a new page or post is not created, but a custom post type that is not publicly queryable. Redirecting is therefore not necessary after you have removed the download form”
    2. The empty area where we can place the message for the mail, if it states the default text “Thank you for subscribing.
You can find your Free Download here: (adequate tag)”
would be more clear for people with not a great experience, like myself.
Anyway, this is a sugestion. Your Plugin is fantastic, easy to use and working. With a evolution for those that want to complete the form. I will for sure go into this Premium feature, as soon as I got a bit more experience, spreading this dowload links in some of my posts and see what happens.
    Many thanks and warm regards,
    Pedro
