Hi there
I installed SG Optimiser with Elementor Pro & Astra and set up per instructions. Google page speed insights now has defer off-screen images at 7.8s and serve images in nextgen formats at 7.2s on mobile, see screenshot

I was using WP Rocket & SmushPro previously without these issues, both plug-ins currently deactivated. When I use the speed test in the SG plugin it keeps telling me to enable WebP support but I have already done that. Please can you advise what I am doing wrong?

Hey @gapdecaders

I’ve checked your site and the issue is that the following image is not optimizer/converted to webp: https://thegapdecaders.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Copy-of-Copy-of-Add-a-heading-4.png

The reason is that we optimize/convert png images smaller than 500kb because the operation is resource consuming.

I suggest you replace the image with a jpg and then run the image optimizations again.

Thank you, that worked and I know now not to use png but jpeg for all future images with embedded text.
