[Plugin: Simple Facebook Connect] With Photocrati — issues?

  • Hi all,

I’m trying to get my blog linked in with my Facebook application (newly created) but so far, no dice. On the “edit” page for a post, I see the error message that something is wrong, but I can’t seem to find any info to dig any deeper. I’ve deactivated all of my plugins (including Nextgen) but still wasn’t able to get the problem resolved. The theme I am using (Photocrati) does introduce some Javascript since pulldown menus are on the page. I’m wondering if the theme might have a bug.

Another issue (this might be the same one?) is that when I click on the share link (Share plugin) I get the following error back from FB:

    API Error Code: 100
    API Error Description: Invalid parameter
Error Message: next is not owned by the application

I found another post that said I likely have the wrong app id – but I’ve double, triple, sixty-checked this. If I clear my browser cache, when I click this, I am forced to login (which works) and then I get this same error back. BTW: the “link to your applications wall” does indeed work for me.

    Questions:
    1. How do I validate that my install can communicate with FB and all of my info is correct? Is this possible?
    2. If you use the photocrati theme, can you use SFC?
    3. Do you have any advice for me? Even things to try? This looks like a great suite of widgets and I want to use them.

Thanks for reading. I appreciate it.
    Adam

  • Another note — I do not see an errors in the source of the rendered page so the header warning doesn’t seem to apply.
