While checking my Wordfence settings, I noticed that Sezman Search Engine has been added to the list of whitelisted services. I don’t know what Sezman is nor do I want to whitelist them. Can you please advise as to how they were to get added to the Wordfence whitelist? 🙂 Eric

    Hey @ericreynolds007,

The Sezman Search Engine is a search engine in the Czech Republic.

If you or a different user didn’t manually add it, it was likely added while the Firewall was in Learning Mode while the bots were crawling your site. You can manually remove it if you’d like.

Please let me know if this helps.

    Thanks,

I also noticed the same. I was using Wordfence since few years and it was not in learning mode.

Still after upgrading to new version of plugin, Sezman was automatically whitelisted in settings.

In my opinion, the checkbox should be disabled by default and interested users can manually enable it.

PS: I wonder why Wordfence team doesn’t add BING to whitelist?

    Hey @ericreynolds007,

I’ve spoken with the developers about this. Sezman reached out to have their service whitelisted by default and were able to provide the exact IPs. They’re a very popular and reputable search engine so we agreed. Though I can definitely share your thoughts about not having it enabled by default.

@yet-another-wp-user – Bing would need to contact us and keep us up to date with their ever-growing and changing IPs for us to whitelist them. They’re definitely a popular and reputable service, but we aren’t able to whitelist due to these technical reasons.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

    Thanks,

    Gerroald
