The customisable data fields get most of the way towards what I wanted – but the display is abysmal! Completely hoses the CSS to the extent that it is unusable: the labels on the data panel are only half present, and the panel itself covers up half the photo. No sign of the promised ‘lightbox over photo’.
And the English that the tech support documentation has been ‘translated’ into is so poor as to be comical.

If you ever fix the display part of it, I am actually trying to use it for a dog re-homing charity – so I need to be able to customize things such as ‘Product Details’ to ‘Details of Dog’ and so on.

Please see my response on your review.

Unfortunately the admin labels are not customizable currently. You can only edit the front-end labels.

Since version 2.1.4 you can customize the admin labels too!

Please specify the display errors. If you mean the attributes display in modern grid product listing theme you can disable it by unchecking the checkbox or swich to another listing theme (you have 3 of them available). The attributes are primary displayed on product pages. They will also look good in product listing if you are using short attributes e.g. color: red.

This is now all explained in the tooltips inside the admin panel.

    Hi, thanks for your response,

Here’s the page containing the problem ‘product’ display (in fact, our product is the dogs we’re re-homing).

    http://creativenetworks.org.uk/oprescue/index.php/dogs/

As you can see, although we have 12 parameters, the web layout only displays four, and the green overlay obscures the image. Is there a way, say through CSS, to access the detailed design of the layout?

I have another problem (sorry!) in that, whilst I managed to set the ‘product image’ on the first item, when I try to do that on the second item, the Media Library popup simply goes into a wait state, with a spinning disc, forever. Any ideas?

    Many thanks for your help,

    Markj

As I can see from your answer in the review this was caused by some third party plugin. I am closing this now, please reopen if you still have any issues.
