I have put together my first wp-site (at http://www.swed.info), just testing, and I am very happy with it so far. I am a beginner and it has been a challenge to work with this and a pleasure to read (and being helped) your contributions to the forum.

Now I need to replicate the site for two more language versions. That is, the structure and the content will be exactly the same, but in different languages. The admin-interface can still be in English, it doesn’t matter, but anything else will be in other languages (in this case Portuguese and French). I will not be using Wp as a blog so there will not be any incoming output other than from authorized contributors in each language.

I thought I could start with a static startpage and that the visitors could click and bookmark their particular language as for instance. swed.info/sp, swed.info/po and swed.info/fr. And then link to three subdirectories with its own wordpress site in it.

    My questions:

1- Is it possible and advisable to do so?
2- Should I change the table prefix for each version to wp-sp, wp-po and wp-fr as recommended in this forum to avoid database problems? Anything else to change inside the subdirectories?
3- Any other solutions or approaches to this?
