 * Hi, folks at Kadence Themes,
 * Great theme (Virtue), but I’m having several issues with it and they are what’s
   stopping me from upgrading to the premium version.
 * Issues are:
 * -Product gallery images don’t show all images thumbnails on single product view
   in front-end.
    – Variations stop working on front-end when ‘Detailed description’
   and ‘Related Products’ are activated on the theme’s Shop Settings. -Product featured
   image does not appear on back-end for some products and sometimes neither on
   front-end. -‘Custom Woocommerce Measure Price Calculator’ plugin does not work
   with this theme, yet it works with most other themes.
 * I want to purchase premium upgrade for my client but I’m wary to do it without
   having sorted out the above within the free (trial) version.
 * Help, please.
 * Cheers, Syl

 * Hey,
    Can you post a link? That is all strange and I am guessing there is another
   issue causing this.

 * Hi guys,
 * Many thanks for the timely reply.
 * The site is at: [http://www.imaggina.info/](http://www.imaggina.info/)
 * I had to use yet another external plugin to substitute the default theme product
   gallery images because my client wanted to see the different product images in
   one of the categories (FOTOMURALES) like already, but, of course, it isn’t ideal.
 * The ‘Custom Woocommerce Measure Price Calculator’ plugin is still not showing
   on front-end either because of the theme.
 * And the rest of the issues are still as they were, unresolved.
 * Hopefully you’ll be able to nail down what’s happening because I really don’t
   want to switch or buy another theme, I really like this one.
 * Best,
 * Syl

 * First thing to note, your twitter widget is throwing a javascript error which
   can be why certain things aren’t working that require javascript, like variations.
 * Your permalink structure is off, sticking index.php in : [http://www.imaggina.info/index.php/producto/297/](http://www.imaggina.info/index.php/producto/297/)
 * You should check and fix your permalink settings in the wordpress > settings
   > permalinks.
 * Also FYI: You are using the Fancy Product Designer which is not mobile or responsive
   friendly.
 * All your product images are pretty small you might want to set your own image
   sizes and turn off the product image re-sizer from the theme. Shop settings. “
   Enable Product Image Crop on product Page”
 * I would start with those. Post a link to the product that isn’t showing gallery
   images? and please make sure you don’t have a woocommerce customizer plugin that
   turns gallery images off.
 * Also post a link to a product using Custom Woocommerce Measure Price Calculator.

 * Hi team,
 * Thanks for your response.
    Commenting below on the points you mentioned:
 * – There’s no twitter widget. What do you mean, the YouTube follow tool on sidebar
   or the Social Media sharing buttons on product page and pages?
 * – Yes, the index.php got in there god knows how because it’s the default Wp gave
   alongside the page/product name options (so don’t understand why a number appears
   for that particular one).
    In any case, the structure is going to stay like that
   because otherwise there are too many broken links, re-direction doesn’t fix them
   and time is against us -besides, SEO isn’t affected by that structure. However,
   I don’t think that has nothing to do with the variations, because variations
   work perfectly fine when the theme’s ‘Detailed description’ and ‘Related Products’
   are switched off.
 * They also stop working (the pricing fields disappear) when combined with the ‘
   Measure Price Calculator’ plugin, as I already mentioned.
 * – Which brings me to that plugin issue. Turns out that the author’s own plugin’s
   live demos show a version of the calculator NOT working with variables, despite
   him saying it does (and that if it doesn’t it’s a theme’s issue) publicly.
    I
   have addressed the misleading information accordingly and hopefully will get
   a refund, as it was a paid plugin.
 * – The custom woocommerce gallery was applied after the theme’s was not working,
   not before, as I said in my previous message.
 * – Also, it is precisely when I turn the theme cropping image settings off that
   the featured images don’t show on front-end.
    Many of them don’t show on back-
   end either, but at least they do on front-end when using the theme cropping options.
 * – Yes, I know the Fancy Product Designer isn’t responsive, but the client doesn’t
   have the budget to get a bespoke responsive feature like that.
    Only a category
   of products (Vinilos Decorativos) have that feature, though, and of course we
   don’t need a gallery for those.
 * All in all, it’s not ideal, but I have sorted out the gallery issue by applying
   external solution and the ‘Measure Price Calculator’ issue by addressing the
   responsible party.
 * So, what we have left are:
    – The variations not working when ‘Detailed Product
   Description’ and ‘Related Products’ activated. – The featured images not appearing
   on front-end when theme’s cropping switched off and not appearing on back-end
   on many cases regardless.
 * Cheers,
 * Syl

 * Hey,
    If you look at your console javascript errors, (right click in chrome and
   click inspect) it shows that you have a twitter javascript causing an error,
   So one of your plugins has to be loading that. And I image that is a lot of your
   issues.
 * Can you turn the Detailed Product Description’ and ‘Related Products’ to activated
   so I can see whats happening?
 * Your image issue is probably caused by the index.php in your url. since wordpress
   is considering that a subdomain but your images are in a different domain without
   it… You can’t just ignore the issue because it won’t hurt your google ranking,
   it’s a problem that will create more problems.

 * Hi,
 * I’m using the plugin measurement price calculator and also noticed it doesn’t
   work in my virtue themed webshop.
 * Here is a link to a product I’m trying to get the measurement price calc on [http://woningstofferingonline.nl/product/washington/](http://woningstofferingonline.nl/product/washington/)
 * I’ve payed $ 129,- for this, please help me out.
 * Thank you,
 * Michael

 * It actually does work with a simple product see: [http://woningstofferingonline.nl/product/harbour-plank/](http://woningstofferingonline.nl/product/harbour-plank/)

   Just one problem – the standard price /m2 doesn’t show up (just for a sec or
   something)
 * The simple product is measurement for m2 the other one (post above) just needs
   length measurements. It’s a carpet with a standard width of 4 meters, the customers
   should enter the length they wish to receive. Since people sometimes just need
   for example 2,3 meters, I really need this extension to work.
 * I also tested the m2 measurement on variable products and it also doesn’t work
   check: [http://woningstofferingonline.nl/product/your-floor-basic/](http://woningstofferingonline.nl/product/your-floor-basic/).
 * So it seems there is something going wrong with the variable products and this
   extension.
 * I would really love to keep this theme, it looks so nice and clean. And of course
   I’ve edited so much already, this is just the last part I need to add to the
   shop…I now wish I’ve tested it before starting to make this webshop, so please
   provide a fix so we can all be happy again 😉
 * Please help me out with the variable product and maybe a fix for showing the
   price on the simple product as well?

 * Oh another problem since I installed the extension…
 * The button text in the category area changed to “select options” and is in a
   totally different style then the theme.
 * It seems like it’s automaticly using the standard woocommerce CSS for example
   the normal code for the buttons is:
 * `<a href="http://woningstofferingonline.nl/product/your-floor-exclusive/" rel
   ="nofollow" data-product_id="261" data-product_sku="" class="button kad-btn headerfont
   kad_add_to_cart add_to_cart_button product_type_variable">Kleuren bekijken</a
   >`
 * After the plug-in:
 * `<a href="http://woningstofferingonline.nl/product/your-floor-basic/" rel="nofollow"
   data-product_id="262" data-product_sku="" class="button add_to_cart_button product_type_variable"
   >Select options</a>`

 * It sounds like getting this plugin to work will require a child theme: [http://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes](http://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes)
 * Your going to need to override a few functions in the theme that this plugin
   is conflicting with. Getting the same style will require some additional css
   too since this plugin seems to want to override the theme styles.
 * In the end how comfortable are you with php? and creating a child theme?

 * Hi,
 * Thanks for your response.
 * Well, I’m not comfortable with php at all 😉 so that won’t be an option for me.
 * Any other options?
 * Best regards,

 * Simply, it doesn’t sound like that plugin is going to work with a theme that
   customizes woocommerce as much as virtue does.
    I don’t know the plugin, and
   don’t have anyway of testing it so I can’t tell you exactly what you would need
   but I do know that your going to need a child theme and your going to need to
   override a couple theme files.
 * All of the above is beyond free support. So unless you had some knowledge I’m
   afraid finding a developer is your only other option to force this to work in
   virtue free.

 * Ouch,
 * Ok thank you for your advise, I guess I’ll need to find something else then.
   I also sent a ticket to woothemes about their extension, but I think they won’t
   be able to fix this too.
 * Thanks for the help.

 * If it was an issue of fixing something broken it would be different but the virtue
   theme conflicts with a plugin and there isn’t a blame to be placed it’s just
   that they where created without each other in mind 🙂
 * Again not saying this isn’t possible just saying it’s not going to be able to
   work with the default settings in the theme. (meaning it will require some changes
   to the code)

 * Hey MrYellows,
 * I worked around that particular issue by purchasing this Extra Product Options
   plugin:
 * [http://codecanyon.net/item/woocommerce-extra-product-options/7908619?WT.ac=search_item&WT.oss_phrase=woocommerce&WT.oss_rank=8&WT.z_author=themecomplete](http://codecanyon.net/item/woocommerce-extra-product-options/7908619?WT.ac=search_item&WT.oss_phrase=woocommerce&WT.oss_rank=8&WT.z_author=themecomplete)
 * and using it to add the variations/options needed to simple products, so I could
   apply them the measure price calculator.
 * Whilst not an ideal solution, it is a way to get it all working when you or a
   client have an extremely limited budget and are very time-pressed.
 * Hope this helps!

 * Thanks for informing me. You said you are using it for simple products. I already
   added lots of variable products in the shop, does that mean I have to add them
   all again? (because that takes the most time)
