• I am working on a website using iWeb. The problem I have run into is that I need other people to keep the site updated. I have the following questions:

    1. Is WordPress flexible enough to create this site (still in progress!!!), or am I tied does to templates: http://web.mac.com/ronharmeyer/egl/Home.html

    2. I am an Applehead, and the people who will be updating the site have ZERO coding experience. Do we need to have ANY coding skills? How similar is it to iWeb?

    3. Once the site is up and running, can others edit it online?

    1. You can build just about anything with WordPress. These days, nothing beats hands-on experience, so if you want to “try (WordPress) before you buy (hosting),” try a free blog at WordPress.com.

    2. No pun intended, but it’s like comparing Apples to Oranges. I suppose you could say that iWeb’s drag-and-drop design system is a bit superior to what WordPress offers, but you can get pretty close with WordPress’ widgets. On the other hand, WordPress’ content generation is far superior to iWeb’s.

    3. They can if they register to your blog and you promote them to the appropriate user level.
