# Setup Failed

 * Hi,
    When attempting the initial WooCommerce setup on /wp-admin/admin.php?page
   =wc-admin/, upon pressing Continue on the first page I get: “There was a problem
   updating your preferences”
 * I’m running Nginx and already added:
    location ~ ^/wp-json/ { rewrite ^/wp-json/(.*?)
   $ /?rest_route=/$1 last; }
 * to my config. Interestingly enough from /wp-admin/admin.php?page=wc-settings 
   I’m able to save changes without any issues. Any ideas what’s going on? Thanks
   in advance.

 * To make sure I’m on the same page, you’re seeing this error on the first step
   of the Setup Wizard, is that right?: [https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-setup-wizard/](https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-setup-wizard/)
 * Do you see any errors in the developer console when trying to continue on that
   page?
 * Also, would you mind copying and pasting your System Status Report into this 
   thread so that we can check for any red flags there? You can find this by going
   to **WooCommerce > Status > System Status > Get System Report** in your WP-Admin
   dashboard.
