settings options screen reader accessibility

hi I’m using Nivo slider wordpress and header image slider plug ins. they are exactly what I need for what I want to do but I have a problem in that I am blind and use a screen reader. in the header image slider plug in, when setting the header into the heading there is a link of sorts there to open up a pop up window for the settings options. this either does not work to open up the pop up or is not coded properly to allow the screen reader to “see” the pop up. does anyone have experience in coding for accessibility that can help with this? many thanks 🙂
