    Hi guys,

    Is there any way users can enable/disable notifications on an individual basis? I still want to create the notifications centrally (as an admin). But I want to let each user switch off certain notifications if they don’t want them.

    Also, is there any way to extend the plugin by adding notifications for my own custom events/actions?

    Thanks!

    Hi @menathor,
    Thanks for your message.

    Yes, you can do this using the Subscriptions add-on.

    Hope this helps.

    @voltronik Perfect, thanks!

    But just wanted to make sure it’s possible to extend the plugin to add my own notification events? I couldn’t find any developer docs. Are there hooks and filters to do this? Or REST API endpoints?

    Also, is it possible to hook into the notification actions to send additional types of notifications? For example if I wanted to add SMS or push notification options in addition to email.

    Cheers

    Hi @menathor,
    A full list of actions and filters can be found here: https://betternotificationsforwp.com/documentation/actions-and-filters/

    I know a number of people have built things off of BNFW. Whilst my aim is to provide an easy to use WP Admin experience, I do plan on adding more developer features in the future.
