Settings Not Recognizing # of Posts to Show; Set for 3, ALL Show

  • Is WordPress having issues? Since last evening, all of my posts are showing one after another on my homepage. I have it set to only show 3 posts.

I know how it’s supposed to work … go to Settings, then click Reading and see this among the options:

Blog pages show at most posts __
Syndication feeds show the most recent items __

For both of those I have 3 entered, and I’ve saved it and resaved. I have not messed with this for two months. I’ve also tried putting other numbers in there; it made no difference. Still have the running posts all on the homepage, running into infinity.

Any suggestions on what to do? Much appreciated. Thank you!

    Site url?

Thanks! It’s annoying me to no end since I don’t know how to fix something that seems to be a system/template glitch.

That’s for your RSS feed – not your site’s display. Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.
