Settings > General > New members this week shows already members

    I’m still in the process of setting up LifterLMS and wondered that there are already numbers showing up under “New members this week”. All my course sites are still password protected and hidden.

    If I take a look here:
    LifterLMS > Analysis > Membership
    or here:
    LifterLMS > Members

    they both are empty (as it should be). To me it seems that there is a bug in the dashboard code that shows the widget “New members this week” under Settings > General.

    @devcri,

    I’m sorry for the issues here and I am not sure what is causing it. I’ll take a deeper look next week and get a patch out if I can recreate or find the issue.

    I think I might have an idea what’s going on. The number is matching exactly with my WooCommerce Sales from Monday until now (Friday). But these sales consist of PDF-Downloads and other digital downloads, not courses.

    I have already activated WooCommerce integration as I am planing to use this feature (because of the other products that are already sold through WooCommerce). But it doesn’t matter if I switch the WooCommerce Integration on or off. The number is still showing new members for this week.

    Note: I didn’t configure a SKU Course Product until now. Neither in LifterLMS nor in WooCommerce.

    @devcri,

    That makes sense because we’re actually querying registered users rather than users by role or course / lesson enrollment. So new WC customers would show here…

    This is a misleading and should be adjusted. I’ve backlogged this as an issue to address post 3.0 release, possibly in 3.1 as we have a handful of other analytics related updates scheduled and we’ll be updating the general screen then anyway.

    I’ll make sure to follow up here when we get a resolution out.
