Settings for Roles not saving

    After changing settings for certain roles, like Author, and saving, when I come back, they are no longer there. Seems to be a new problem, and authors are not able to access their NextGen image galleries any more, for example. This happens in “Custom Capabilities.”

    Also, if I change a setting in one category, it sets it that way for all of them. For example, if I make a change in a role’s plugin capabilities, it seems to make the same change for all plugins.

    If granted capability is revoked after URE’s page refresh, some plugin may be a reason. Try to deactivate temporally all plugins and re-test. If that will resolve the issue, activate plugins back one by one with new testing in order to isolate a problematic one.

    If you change capabilities in a group for one custom post type but see the same changes applied to other custom post type – both custom post types use the same capability type ‘post’. Read this article for more details.
