Support » Plugin: Stackable - Page Builder Gutenberg Blocks » Settings for Container Block Missing

    Hi there!

The container block settings seem to be missing options for border radius, margin and shadow. I see from the demo site and mentions on the Stackable site that they *should* be in the block settings, but I don’t have them.

Text & background color, background image, container height, background tint, fixed background and CSS class are the only options I have.

I’m using a Genesis child theme (Altitude Pro) and the theme and all plugins are the latest versions.

Working around this (hopefully temporarily) with CSS. Any insight/suggestions you can provide would be much appreciated.

    Thanks!

    Hi!

Right now there is no setting for border radius, margins and shadows for the Container block. It always has those.

However, in the upcoming bugfix update 1.9.1, you can set the Container’s background to none to remove the border and shadow.

Your temporary workaround should do fine for now.

What options are you looking for the Container block? What are you trying to do with it?

Mostly I just want the container to contain things 🙂

However, I do like having the option to add a background image or color to set off one page section from another. Setting the background to none is a good option as well.

Honestly, I think you need both.

Related: It would also be good if you could horizontally align Container Blocks in columns like some of the other blocks in the Stackable set.

The stock Gutenberg Columns Block doesn’t adapt to mobile (at least, not as of the last time I tested it a couple of weeks ago) so it’s pretty useless.

When I looked at the demo page for the Container Block I saw that it included backgrounds without border radius and shadows. So I assumed that the settings must be missing/conflicted in my WP install.

    Thanks for your reply, Benjamin.

Thanks for the suggestions Teresa 🙂

For the Container Block demo, it doesn’t show the border radius if the block is set to full width. The shadows are still there, just not that apparent.

    1) Love, love, LOVE the latest update. Thank you for all the additions/refinements.
    2) IMO there should be a slider for margin so it can be set to zero. Otherwise there are gaps between backgrounds, unless they happen to be white.

Leaving in place my CSS override for this one thing, but hoping you guys will agree a margin control slider makes sense 😀

I am trying to use the container block the base for a page so that I can then place other blocks on the page and move them to different locations. I’m having trouble getting the container to fill the page, then I can insert additional blocks but can’t move them around.

I am new to all of this and realize that training/learning how to use the stackable blocks is key. I have not been able to find any detailed how to information on the blocks.
Can you point me in the right direction?

    Thanks

    Leon Jones
