setting url to sending page

Hi All – been searching the net for info on how to set a ‘return to previous page to the sending parent page which could have been one of seven pages. What I am also looking to do is replace the word ‘previous’ with the name of the sending page. For instance, page1, page2, page3 each has a menu item that will open page 10. I would like to be able to construct a url link that will return the user to from wherever they came from with also the link reading that it will return them to that page. My site is a martial arts site where this area is for the students. Higher ranks will be able to look at their rank and lesser rank material. If a green or brown belt was reviewing white belt material, I want the returning link to read the belt page they came from and will return to. I am a newbie with wordpress but have developed sites in the past using dreamweaver…. thanks in advance for any assistance …. d
