Setting up multiple RSS feeds

  • I’d like to give a full feed as well as a truncated one. From the interface, it looks like I can only offer one type. What would I have to do to offer two kinds of feeds?

    Thanks!

You could set your feed to be “Full Text” (full content/HTML), then sign your feed up with Feedburner and set the Feedburner feed to a summary stripped of HTML tags. This is the only way that I know of to provide both full content and summary feeds.

Thanks for the reply, MacManx. I tried that. What Feedburner does is strip all the links out of the feed as well as truncate it. I was hoping WordPress would be able to give me a few different feed options so that I wouldn’t have to have the links striped. I guess there isn’t a RSS-factory plugin to do that, is there?

With Feedburner, you should be able to provide a truncated feed with full HTML.
