Setting up multiple blogs on one site

I’m brand new to WordPress. On our non-profit site we’d like to have two different blogs for two different topics. Obviously, we can use the “home page” for the first, but how do I set up the second blog, on a different page, on the same site?

Step by step instructions would be welcomed.
