Support » Plugin: Polylang » Setting up languages (bulk action maybe?)

  • Hello!
I’m Jonas, and I’m working on a WordPress site. I really enjoy using your plugin, but I have a small problem. I had to migrate 600+ old posts from a Drupal site, and now I need to “connect” every post with its translated version. Is there a way to do it easily? If that helps, I put “_ESP_” prefix for every title, which is a Spanish post, and the English posts don’t have prefixes.

    Thank you in advance,
    Jonas

    Hi,

It may be tricky. It much depends on what information you could get from your Drupal site and how you run the migration from Drupal to WordPress. But if you have some PHP knowledge, Polylang provides functions to assign the language pll_set_post_language and link translations together pll_save_post_translations. See https://polylang.pro/doc/function-reference/
