Setting up blogs section

Hi, at funhealthywise.com, I have all new posts going onto the front page. I want to set up a blogs section inside the site and having posts go to special blog pages but NOT appear on the front page.

I can’t seem to figure out how to do it.

I think I have to make my front page a “static page” but I am lost.

I am posting things and using categories to have them go to the inside of the section where I want. So, for example, a “relationships blog” would be a page of relationships stories posted to the front page with the category “relationship blog.”

I am guessing there is a better way, and even if this way works, it will not allow me to post stuff directly to the blog without it also showing up on the front page.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I’m a beginner at this.
