Setting up a Preview Site, then Moving to Root Site

  • I will be re-themeing and reorganizing two sites that I maintain in the next month. What I would like to do is set up the new theme/site organization in a preview area (for example: http://mySite.org/preview), then, on the day of the go-live, copy the new theme and organization to the root url (http://mySite.org). Most of the static content would be referenced from the root url, but I’m not sure how to do the copy of the theme, with its customization….I’m sure someone here has done that before, so are there any hints/tips/step by steps available on how to do this that you could send my way? The new theme is “Weaver II”…

    Thank you, in advance!
