I need some help. I can’t figure out how to setup a link on a page that will take a person to a different web page (site).

    What kind of link?

If you want to include links in a widget area, you can use the link manager plugin http://codex.wordpress.org/Add_Link_SubPanel

Cubecolour I figured out the link setup after I made this post. I found it in a online doc on this web site. I pretty much understand the mechanics of WordPress other then the widget part. And as I work with WordPress my knowledge grows. What I am relay lacking in is the skills to take the blog from its bland dull look to something that is more appealing that will make people want to stay longer. I need some input on that and also how to get it up on the search engines were it will be seen. The guy that was showing me the ropes had to leave town on an emergency call to fix a big network hub. So I am on my own right now.

Again The system is asking me to post something before I can mark this topic as resolved.
