    I need help to locate the setting in style.css which will move the margin of the lists below Recent Posts, Categories and Monthly Archives on my site more to the left. Any ideas?

  • yes,
    surf to your website
    on the top of your browser you’ll find *View* –>Sourcode

    it opens in a new window

    use the search function to search for a word of your sidebar –aorund that word you’ll find the css tags.

    regards
    Monika

    Thanks Monika. I had a look but cannot find anything. I’ve checked in style.css for info on what is defining that list (which is an “ordinary” ul li list). There are a few “margin” settings but none of them appears to be working…Sigh

    #sidebar
    margin-left 505px;

    try
    margin-left 68%

    or margin-left 70%

    or
    #sidebar ul
    margin 0px;

    with the correct { }
    and the : after margin;-)

    regards
    Monika

    negative margins work too if you need them.

    Groovy, what I had to do was this:

    #sidebar ul li {
    margin-left:-17px;
    }

    MANY THANKS to both of you!
