Setting Custom domain(or name) substitute hostname
-
Hi, great staffs!
I would like to suggest a feature request.
Title:
Using other domain(or custom name) when certificating TimestampFeature:
– Adding a new tab on your plugin’s admin console. And, add a text box for the custom name in this tab.
– set custom name to the memo and host(substitute of the hostname of WordPress) when TimeStamp request sends.
– Certificate Timestamp with a custom name.Reason:
Our team develops a static site generator for WordPress. It calls the ‘Shifter’.
https://getshifter.ioWe tried to use your plugin in our product, I needed some of the alterations to your plugin code.
If your service can be used with a static site generator, I think user’s site can get either higher security and transparency. This is a sample page. website is static and it was generated from Shifter.
https://hugtech.io/2019/06/19/simple-mocking-of-dynamodb-data-mapper-in-the-jest-codes/#wordproofI think that Converting WordPress site to static is currently one of the hot topics who many people have curious about it.
Details of alterations we did:
In our product(Shifter), A real hostname does not use when a customer is editing the post.
So that, The post is certificated with a wrong hostname and It’s added to the blockchain. Many static site generator has some cases that domain name is different between publishing and editing, like a Shifter.
To solve this, I thought it would be better to be able to select custom name on your plugin when certificating to the post.
How do you think about it?
And also,
Is it possible to put the code to GitHub(or another repository)?
Our team member will be able to make PR for this feature request if you can open your repository.
(We could not find some files that it’s before minifying on WordPress Trac.)Thanks
