Setting colors in default template

  • I just started blogging, got wordpress installed and working, but even something as simple as getting the default theme colors to change will not work for me (from the presentation ->header image and color page). Colors I change don’t stick, I’m unable to have the background of the page change either. Do I have to do this from the code itself?

    Thanks!

Your theme folder might not be writable. Have a look over these directions.

Thanks Jeremy… the permissions weren’t optimal, so I tried changing them first to at least 765, then I upped it to 777
for the whole wp-content directory, still the only thing
that will change from the theme tools is the font color… the upper and lower colors don’t change.

    Any ideas???

    Thanks again!
    Tim
