Support » Fixing WordPress » Setting automatic post expiration date

  • I am using the FeedWordPress plug-in to syndicate TV listings for a celebrity into WordPress.

I’ve already tried piping the RSS feed into a widget, but there is a bug on TV Guide’s end where upcoming shows are only shown for a date 7 days in the future. As a result of this, listings in the feed change on a daily basis.

I have found plug-ins that will automatically delete a post after I choose an expiration date, however I don’t want to have to manually choose an expiration date for each episode. Rather, I would want a post to expire either a few hours (or up to 24 hrs) after the air date and time of the episode.

Also, the FeedWordPress plug-in automatically publishes the syndicated post in the future on the date of the episode. Naturally I want people to know about the episode before it airs, so can I push back the publish date 6 days before the default, and then have it expire 7 days after the new publish date?

    Any help would be fantastic!
