Hi–I’m using MailPoet to create a pop-up form that asks people if they would like to receive our newsletter. It works fine mostly, but once now I have had it happen that, after ignoring the request and waiting a very long time, it turned into a different image that took over the screen and had no way of escaping (the big X was not clickable). Is there a place where I can see the setting that does that? I looked and tried to edit but there’s no “disappears after being ignored for ___ seconds” or anything like that.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi there @gapwebmasters,

    Thanks for reaching out!

I’m using MailPoet to create a pop-up form that asks people if they would like to receive our newsletter. It works fine mostly, but once now I have had it happen that, after ignoring the request and waiting a very long time, it turned into a different image that took over the screen and had no way of escaping (the big X was not clickable).

If I’m getting this right, the popup subscription form loads fine at first and if you don’t close it for a while it turns into a different image that takes the whole page and makes it impossible to close the popup?

If that’s the case, it sounds like a conflict with your theme or a plugin. I recommend following these steps to determine what’s causing that:

Is there a place where I can see the setting that does that? I looked and tried to edit but there’s no “disappears after being ignored for ___ seconds” or anything like that.

I’m afraid this is not currently possible, but you’re welcome to add it as a suggestion here https://feedback.mailpoet.com

Our team will take it into account when discussing new features and improvements for the plugin 🙂

    Thank you!
