• Hi

I have a problem as I don’t really understand how it works.

For Title Settings under Post Title Format, I leave it to be: %post_title% | %blog_title%

    (eg.) Flowers | site.com

So when I go to google search, if I type “Flowers”, I’m unable to search for it. However, if I type “Flowers site.com”, it appears on the first page…

I am confusing as what is going on? Or the settings isn’t correct?

    Thanks.

  • Hi Uendi,

It may be that when you search for “Flowers”, your website might not be one of the top ten most popular websites for that keyword – I’d wager that flowers.com comes first, assuming that isn’t your website. However, when you search for “Flowers site.com” then your site is the most popular site for those keywords taken together.

    Hi Peter

    Thank you for your reply.

Yup, I agree with you. I have a few questions as I just want to make sure whether it is correct, below:

    SEO Keywords
    ————
    – Is there any difference whether the alphabet is uppercase or lowercase / with s or without s ?

    – From admin dashboard under posts, you can see on our right hand side, there is a tag column, suppose for us to type in those keywords, so how about SEO Keywords which just below SEO description, is it a must too ?

    – If I installed Google XML Sitemaps together with All In One SEO Pack, will there any improvement for Search Engine ?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Uendi,

SEO keywords aren’t actually that important anymore; it’s much more important that you have good content and write good titles and descriptions to go along with that content. Don’t worry about capitalization or suffixes, just use them properly in your content.

I would recommend using an XML sitemap as well; All in One SEO Pack now ships with an XML Sitemap module, so you can activate that from the Feature Manager and try it out. Google XML Sitemaps is a fine plugin as well; just don’t use both of them at once. 🙂

    Hi Peter,

Really thank you so much for your clear and details explanation.

In other words, since All in One SEO Pack ships with an XML Sitemap module, it is not necessary to install Google XML Sitemaps, right ?

Lastly, I have installed a verification code to this Google Webmaster Tools under All in One SEO Pack, but it’s unable to verify my site, I keep trying for number of times, still not working.

Can you advise me what to do ?

    Thanks.

    Hi Unedi,

That’s correct, you don’t need another XML Sitemap plugin, you can use All in One SEO Pack for this; just activate it from the Feature Manager and set it up in the XML Sitemap settings.

For the Webmaster Tools, make sure you’re only entering the code in the field and not the entire meta tag. What’s your website?

    Hi Peter

    Thank you so much.

Yes, I have entered that code only and not the entire meta tag. This is my site: uendi.com

    Thanks

    Hi Uendi,

This looks correct to me, this is the meta tag I see in the source code of your front page:

    <meta name="google-site-verification" content="yVQYRuB3zn06yKteVXbcI5rVQHM8Rx2aOiGyllIO1u0" />

Does Google Webmaster Tools tell you anything else here?

    Hi Peter

Yes, you are right. I think it is OK now, it looks like it is already verified.

    Thank you so much.
