I want to set some custom smilies for my blog without using one those plugins. So, I found, that the native wordpress smilies are set in /wp-includes/functions.php.
Can I set the global variable $wpsmiliestrans in the functions.php of the theme? And if so, how does this functions.php has to look? Furthermore, how can I specify in which folder my custom smilies are stored in?
Sadly I’m that a php geek to figure this out by myself. So I hope to find some help here.
