 * I’ve used the suggested code:
    .tablepress-id-1 th, .tablepress-id-1 td { width:
   25%; } to set all my cols. However when I combine cols with #colspan# the width
   styling seems to be dropped.

 * thanks for your question, and sorry for the trouble.
 * Setting column widths in a table that uses `colspan` is rather tricky.
    In your
   case, you should not even need the `#colspan#`, I recommend to try it without
   this.
