# Set User’s “Display Name” Using PHP

 * I’d like to update the current logged in user’s “Display Name Publicly As” using
   a plug-in. I can’t seem to find a function to update this field. Any suggestions?

 * Really? Update_usermeta works? The display name isn’t stored in the usermeta 
   table, so I wouldnt have guessed it – I guess I’ll have to try it out myself..
