Trying to install tracking and seem to be going round in circles. Am using directCPV as traffic source. Basically I want to track the URLs and keywords that result in traffic to my page. * Firstly looked at DirectCPV that asks you to add tracking IDs to your URL. I couldn’t find any info on how to correctly add the tracking codes to the end of the URL that points to my own landing page. Note: This is a LP I made myself on WordPress with WPoptin plug in. * Then looked at prosper202 as it said this is easier to use and followed the instructions. It says load the files up to root of the domain but I can’t as one of the files robots.txt will conflict with another file named the same for attracts SEO plugin. There was also a WP plug in for prosper202 but some are saying it is not working/ is outdated and may cause issues in a current wordpress site. I realise there may also be organic traffic but I wanted to be able to track the difference between organic and paid traffic to my landing page. You just need to create a page say lp.php which reads the url saves it to a file and then redirects the user onto your main wordpress site. * Thread Starter [wdb07159](https://wordpress.org/support/users/wdb07159/) * (@wdb07159) * [13 years, 5 months ago](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/set-up-tracking-codes/#post-3269889) * Basically I have a landing page of my creation on a WordPress site and when the optin fills in details they are then sent to the main affiliate promotion, so the tracking I want to firstly see is the traffic source URL/Keyword (from DirectCPV) that sent the lead to my landing page, so I need to have tracking directly in DirectCPV. In DirectCPV the destination URL is my own landing page. * I only have one affiliate link right now and that is a redirect from aweber when the optin adds name/email details to landing page it redirects them straight to my affiliate link so I don’t really need to track the source of that right now (but am anyway see below), although if I end up with more affiliate links in my blog, which I will be doing, I can add tracking IDs to the affiliate link in other places so I can distinguish between them. Doing this will tell me where they came from to the affiliate link but not the keyword or URL destination – meaning organic traffic, not paid directCPV traffic. * So at the end of the affiliate link redirect in aweber I have ‘?tid=LANDINGPAGE’ * So I know it is the landing page. However if I add other affiliate links to my blog I will want to know the URL and/or keyword - and * also where the traffic came from (post 1/2/3 etc.). I have my own landing page, which links to my own website. I have been unable to code Directcpv, Prosper202, my landing page, and my website correctly to track the keywords used by people who ultimately“ Click Here”. In short no never got it working with proper202, I can’t remember what was the problem but I do know proper was not the correct thing to use for the set up I had. I think it might have been integration with WP was the problem. That could have changed by now i’m not sure Y/N. * I found very little on the web in the way of individual help and knowledge for proper202, just standard help files and a dead forum. Sorry can’t help you more but I got frustrated and binned trying to use it.
