Eternal problem of compatibility between Unix and Windows: security of access to files (and folders). How to move to the Unix 0755 value to a file upon a Windows only compatible with itself?
WP customer area, seems it, provides a solution with buttons “set recommended permissions” that have apparently no effect on my site under Win 8: nothing changes in the table of recommended actions when I click on. Is there an operation I missed?

  • Hi,

We have very few people running on Windows, so little feedback. There are no permissions under Windows, so that has no effect and should not be taken into consideration.

Thank you for your answer, that’s exactly what I thought. Is there not some code to include in an .htaccess?
