Support » Fixing WordPress » Set per-file size limit per blog?

  • I run a Multi-site install on WP 3.2.1.

I see that I can set the upload quota on the network level, and also on a per-blog level. I can’t, however, set the per-file size limit per-blog – only on the entire network.

Does anyone know of a quick fix, or a plugin, that would help me to set the per-file size limit on individual blogs?

I want to keep the per-file size limit pretty low as a default, since some users try to upload inappropriately large image files (even though we instruct them on how – and why – to resize them). At the same time, I also need to allow some blogs a larger per-file limit, because they have audio or video projects to upload.

I would like to be able to accommodate both types of user, without making them upload larger files to a separate system.

There *must* be a way to set the fileupload_maxk setting on a per-blog basis…

  • We’re in the same boat here.

We want a default set for Max File Uploads, but the ability to change that max for specific subsites. It has nothing to do with disk quota (which can be changed on a site-to-site basis).

    Any solutions?
