    Hi,

is there an option to change the domain of the “moove_gdpr_popup” cookie. Currently it’s set to the domain the site is running on. However, I would like to see an option to add the cookie to the top domain.

So instead of adding the cookie to “www.mysite.com”, I would like to set it to “mysite.com”.

That way it would use the same cookie for all kinds of subdomains like:

    “product.mysite.com”

    Thanks…

    Hi @ctschach,

Thanks for using our plugins. We will try to start a research and if it’s possible we can extend the options with custom domain field in a future release.
I don’t think this is possible, you can read more about it here:
    https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc6265#section-4.1.2.3

The user agent will reject cookies unless the Domain attribute specifies a scope for the cookie that would include the origin server. For example, the user agent will accept a cookie with a Domain attribute of “example.com” or of “foo.example.com” from foo.example.com, but the user agent will not accept a cookie with a Domain attribute of “bar.example.com” or of “baz.foo.example.com”.

NOTE: For security reasons, many user agents are configured to reject Domain attributes that correspond to “public suffixes”. For example, some user agents will reject Domain attributes of “com” or “co.uk”. (See Section 5.3 for more information.)

    I hope this makes sense.

    Thanks
